Modern Slavery Statement for Man with Van Kenley

This Modern Slavery Statement sets out the steps Man with Van Kenley has taken, and continues to take, to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our operations and supply chains. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and to implementing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery does not occur in any part of our business.

Our Zero-Tolerance Approach

Man with Van Kenley maintains a clear and uncompromising zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, child labour, and exploitation. This applies to every aspect of our activities, including our core moving and transport services, and to all individuals working directly or indirectly on our behalf.

All staff, contractors, and suppliers are expected to uphold this stance. We will not knowingly conduct business with any individual or organisation involved in or associated with modern slavery. Where any concerns are substantiated, we will take immediate and decisive action, which may include terminating contracts, ceasing engagement, and reporting matters to the relevant authorities where appropriate.

Our Business and Supply Chains

Man with Van Kenley operates as a transport and removals service provider. Our supply chains primarily consist of vehicle and equipment suppliers, fuel providers, subcontracted drivers and porters, uniform and consumables suppliers, and providers of business services such as storage, insurance, and maintenance.

We recognise that certain sectors and geographies carry higher risks of exploitation. We continually assess where our activities and suppliers may be exposed to these risks and prioritise our oversight accordingly.

Supplier Standards and Audits

We expect all suppliers and subcontractors to share our commitment to preventing modern slavery. As part of our onboarding and ongoing supplier management, we seek assurance that our partners operate in a lawful, ethical, and transparent manner.

We are developing and implementing proportionate supplier audits and checks, which may include confirmation of compliance with labour laws, review of relevant policies and codes of conduct, verification of right-to-work and age documentation through our direct partners, and assessment of health, safety, and working conditions where site visits or inspections are appropriate.

If a supplier is unable or unwilling to demonstrate adequate safeguards against modern slavery, we will review the relationship and, where necessary, seek alternative partners.

Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing

Man with Van Kenley is committed to creating an environment where concerns about modern slavery can be raised safely and are taken seriously. Any member of staff, contractor, supplier, or member of the public who suspects that modern slavery may be occurring in connection with our business is encouraged to report their concerns.

Concerns can be raised directly to a manager or senior member of the business, or through any internal reporting route that has been communicated to staff and regular contractors. All reports will be treated sensitively and, where possible, confidentially. We do not tolerate victimisation or retaliation against any person raising a concern in good faith.

All credible reports will be investigated promptly and appropriate action will be taken, which may include engaging with law enforcement or relevant agencies.

Training and Awareness

We recognise that preventing modern slavery requires awareness and vigilance. We aim to provide suitable information to managers and staff so they can recognise indicators of exploitation, understand how to escalate concerns, and appreciate their responsibilities within our zero-tolerance framework.

As our business grows, we will review the scope and depth of training and guidance to ensure it remains appropriate and effective for the nature of our activities and supply chains.

Monitoring, Governance and Annual Review

Responsibility for overseeing our approach to modern slavery sits with the leadership of Man with Van Kenley. They are accountable for ensuring that this statement is implemented, that controls are operating effectively, and that identified risks are addressed in a timely manner.

This Modern Slavery Statement will be reviewed at least once every twelve months. The annual review will consider changes to our business model and supply chains, lessons learned from any issues or reports raised, developments in legislation and recognised good practice, and opportunities for strengthening our policies, procedures, and due diligence.

Following each review, the statement will be updated where necessary to reflect our continuing commitment to improving our approach and to maintaining robust safeguards against modern slavery and human trafficking.
